Chiropractic Care and Services in Lakewood

Doctor and patient reviewing X-ray findings
Every patient walks in with a different story, so a single style of adjustment isn’t going to be right for everyone. Millennium Chiropractic combines manual chiropractic care with a wide range of instrument-assisted techniques and other technologies, giving Dr. Sanchez options when building care around your individual needs.

Below is an overview of the services and approaches available.

Chiropractic Adjustments

Adjustments here aren’t one-size-fits-all. Our chiropractor works with manual techniques as well as instrument-assisted tools such as Activator Methods®, Impulse, and Arthrostim, including specialized heads designed for specific areas of the body.

If you’re hypermobile or have greater flexibility in your joints and connective tissues, an instrument-assisted approach may sometimes be considered instead of manual adjusting. Your examination findings, symptoms, and individual needs all help determine which approach Dr. Sanchez recommends.

Extremity Adjusting

Chiropractic care at our practice isn’t limited to the spine. Our chiropractor also works with the shoulders, elbows, wrists, and other extremities.

Patients may visit with concerns such as tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow, shoulder discomfort, rotator cuff complaints, or carpal tunnel-like symptoms associated with repetitive work. Dr. Sanchez evaluates the individual concern before determining whether extremity adjusting may be appropriate.

Class IV Laser Therapy

Class IV laser therapy uses three wavelengths and may be incorporated into care for persistent discomfort and inflammation. This non-invasive approach is designed to work with the body’s natural recovery processes and can be used alongside chiropractic adjustments and other forms of care.

Whether laser therapy is appropriate depends on your individual needs and our examination findings.

Spinal Decompression

Millennium Chiropractic has three different traction options, allowing us to select an approach based on the patient’s symptoms and how the body responds to different positions.

A standard decompression table may be considered for certain types of radiating discomfort or nerve-related symptoms, while a flexion-distraction table provides another option when positioning affects how a patient feels. A dedicated scoliosis traction chair is also available for scoliosis-focused care.

Cryotherapy

A CO2 gas cryotherapy device delivers targeted cold therapy to the area being addressed. The rapid cooling effect may be used to temporarily numb an uncomfortable area and ease acute discomfort as part of a broader care plan.

Dr. Sanchez determines when cryotherapy may be appropriate rather than automatically including it in every patient’s care.

Soft Tissue and Massage Therapy

Professional-grade massage tools are available to work with tight or uncomfortable muscles as part of a patient’s overall care. These soft tissue approaches can be combined with chiropractic adjustments and other services when appropriate.

Pregnancy and SOT Care

Our chiropractor uses Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT) blocks and Webster-style adjusting as options when caring for pregnant patients. Pregnancy pillows are also available to help patients remain comfortable during their visits.

As with other approaches at Millennium Chiropractic, pregnancy care is adapted to the individual rather than following the same routine for everyone.

On-Site Digital X-Rays

When clinically appropriate, digital X-rays can be taken right here in the office. This allows Dr. Sanchez to review imaging as part of his evaluation without sending you elsewhere for a separate imaging appointment.

Not every patient needs X-rays. Whether they’re recommended depends on your history, examination findings, and individual circumstances.

Care Based on What You Need

Having multiple tools available doesn’t mean every patient needs every service. Dr. Sanchez starts with a conversation and thorough examination, then recommends the combination of chiropractic techniques and other services he considers appropriate for your individual needs.

If you’re ready to get a clearer understanding of what’s contributing to your discomfort and explore your options, contact Millennium Chiropractic to schedule your visit.
